About Amy

Hi! I'm Amy! Right off the bat...the most important things in life to me are my family (my handsome husband and three beautiful children), my Jesus and capturing our life in pictures.

I feel that photos are to be shared, they exist to evoke feelings and help friends and family bond even worlds apart. I love meeting new families, taking their pictures and being able to be apart of their memories for just a moment.

I strive to bring every part of me to a session, I'm loud but introverted, I'm fun but serious. I will hug you when I meet you and treat you like part of my family. A session with me is just simply about one thing and one thing only...YOU.

Please feel free to contact me using the Contact link above to inquire about a child or family photo session in the Sacramento, California area. I'm looking forward to it.

Thank goodness…

…July is almost over. It’s been quite awhile since I’ve posted anything here. July has by far been one of the most “interesting” months of the year. Lots of changes, mostly not good, but God is definitely by our side and not going anywhere. As far as photos go, I’m not even sure if I’ve taken any all month, I don’t have any downloaded onto my computer, so that means that they are tucked away on some card still in my camera….how sad. I’m sure I have some from the 4th, maybe….

To round off this very odd month, Jeremy just got over having meningitis. That was a scary few days of him being in the hospital and not knowing what was wrong. The worst comes to mind, you know? But I didn’t let myself go there. I think I had about a 5 minute freak out and then I slapped myself back into shape realizing that I have 3 precious ones to take care of and if they don’t have me, then they are lost. I do think it is unfair sometimes though, how little us moms get to freak out. I mean…I would have liked to crawl into bed and sleep for 3 days straight, but that wasn’t an option. I definitely feel old though, I literally stayed up all night the first night we went to the ER, I don’t know how kids do it! I’m to old to stay up all night.

Thank you to our wonderful friends who were visiting with us the weekend Jeremy got sick. The weekend definitely wasn’t supposed to turn out that way, but we are thankful they were here so we could go to the hospital in the middle of the night. And to my sister who dropped everything like always to take care of her nieces and nephew when I need her to…you’re the bomb. (I feel like I should be giving out awards or something…)

Since no post is complete without a photo, here’s an older one of Zachy. I thought his cutie little face perfectly expresses how we’ve been feeling all month, kinda pensive, kinda surprised, kinda annoyed (lol), a little anxious, but tolerating what is happening at the moment. (yeah…I got that all from his face!)
