I absolutely love to photograph high school seniors. I think its something about how FUN life is at that stage…friends, senior trips, grad parties and senior portraits. So I’ve got a very cool senior special going on, it doesn’t have an expiration date, but I would strongly suggest that seniors book their sessions asap! You don’t want to have to be worrying about photos when it comes time for finals!

In addition to this special, I have created some great packages for Seniors. Contact me if you want to know what they are! (Every package includes photos for your facebook/myspace or digital images you can print yourself!) AND…let me know if you want to have your session with a graduating classmate or sibling! I’ve got a great deal for that as well!

You can contact me directly from my contact page on my website or on your own from here

ps. This special is NOT just for high school grads! Lets document what YOU are graduating from!

…someone please….to somewhere where it is hot and humid with lots of sand and a beach. The awesome church we attend is moving buildings and my husband and I are deeply involved in the move…there is much to do! It is great, a wonderful thing, but its a lot of work! Today was a pack day and it was actually a lot of fun. Lily got lost a few times in all the boxes but our awesome friends always helped us bring her back (no I’m not joking!) Pray for us and mostly my parents who carry the greatest burden of the move on their shoulders. In a nutshell…my mom and dad ROCK…’nuff said. Pray that this would be a smooth and peaceful transition.

On top of the move I am amazingly busy with photo sessions, something that is very welcome and I pray continues. And on top of THAT…I’m going back to “school”…more on that later…I’m so excited! And on top of THAT!!! (I could go on….but I won’t!)

Lily’s got the right idea…

My heart feels so full when I think of this family. I was graciously allowed to photograph Harper’s birth, and then I got to come back and meet her (in the daylight!) and take photos of her, just 12 days old. I have lots to say about her, and lots to share, but right now I am very overdue in showing her parent’s a sneak peek of our time together.

(Your gallery is almost ready! Thanks for being patient with me!)

My cousin is getting married…and to a great guy no less. I got to spend the afternoon with them, taking their pictures, watching them talk, witnessing two people in the very new beginnings of love. There truly isn’t anything better is there?

What a beautiful bride she will be! They are getting married in June at the Loomis Flower Farm and so we went over there to get some shots. What a lovely place! I could spend hours there. From there we went to our Great-Aunt & Uncle’s amazing home. Thank you so much Aunt Leota & Uncle Charles for allowing us to have our session on your grounds! I hadn’t been there for years and It was even more beautiful than I remembered.

Here’s a sneak peek of our afternoon together…

Its been a year…

November 7, 2009

and even though it does feel time has flown…the majority of my heart feels like it has been way longer than a year since we said goodbye to Grandma. So much has happened this year within our family, a baby has been born, an engagement, close friends have passed away, children have grown, babies learned to talk, we’ve celebrated holidays and birthdays. She’s missed out on so much, and we’ve missed her being with us. My Grandpa has learned how to survive and we are all very happy that he is finally happy again.

The saying is so true that life does go on, the earth doesn’t stop moving and we don’t stop living. We just feel that a part of our family is missing and we’ll always feel that way. I will forever have to explain to my little ones why Great Grandma isn’t here…and at least one time a week, Abby makes sure I know that she misses her. Baby Ethan will grow up and we will tell him that his Great Grandma would have loved to hold him and knit him little sweaters. Life has taken on a different tune, not good, not bad, just different.

Love you Grandma…miss you so much!!

We’re having our housewarming party this weekend and it has kicked me into high gear. I’m finally putting up a large wall gallery in our home and in looking for the best photos to display, I’ve come across some oldies.

Baby Zach over a year ago. Look at those chubby arms!! It melts my heart…

Over the weekend I got to spend a day with this lovely family. I truly had a blast…I drove away thanking Jesus again for my job and the wonderful people I get to meet.

When talking over the phone, Jana and I labored over where to hold our photo shoot. The location really speaks a lot about the family, and when families only take professional photos every few years, we need to get it right! Jana wasn’t sure if I should even come to their home because she said it was so small and wasn’t sure about the available light. She kept saying it was tiny and full of things because she has two kids, and of course I understood because…well…homes are made to be lived in! I went to their home anyway and I am so glad I did! What a lovely home they had, modest in size but absolutely overflowing with beauty, love, care and thought. Walking in I was greeted with such a welcome and I knew right away that this would be one of the funnest sessions I’ve had to date. We could have spent all day in their home (and almost did!) but we ended up making our way to Maidu park in Roseville and that was a great decision as well!

Thanks Jana & Chris for allowing me into your home and spending the morning with me. I had a blast! I know we spent way more time with each other than planned and I thank you for that! I hope Collin got the strawberry ice cream we bribed him with, he deserved it!

I definitely will be blogging more from this session, but for now here is a sneak peek into our day together…

He’s changed so much!! I finally got some real one on one time with my sister’s (my!) boy. I loved having a baby in the house again…but I really can’t wait until he gets a little older, toddles around my house and calls me Auntie. His smiles are awesome, his Mama is doing a great job with him so far.
